Park Pals - Practice Group
Welcome! This is the main page for Tuff Pup Training's Park Pals practice group. Our practice walks are an additional opportunity for participants of the Tuff Pup Training programs to practice with their dogs in a supportive environment while out in the "real world". These walks are a chance to have practice partners for B.A.T (Behavior Adjustment Training) and L.A.T. (Look At That) training exercises as well as practice for eye contact and loose-leash walking. We hope the training walks will be a place to share ideas and sharpen training skills with other people interested in modern, fun and humane training methods for reactive behavior issues.
As you scroll down you can find a info on making the most of the practice walks, handouts of fundamental skills and links to helpful blog posts.
Participation in practice walks is $10 per practice walk and you can sign up and pay for walks through the scheduling app embedded on this page below.
How can joining these walks be helpful?
It helps to see how other dog owners are working on their dog's behavior.
It's helps to train along with other people who understand what you're going through and people who know to give you and your dog space to practice.
It helps to practice with the guidance of a professional certified dog trainer on hand.
Current Park Pals training walks will be location at South Philly’s FDR park located at 1500 Pattison Avenue & South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145.
Participants will be e-mail exact meeting location after registering for the walks with the scheduler below.
